Explore context create vitality

The Creator is an open studio on the internet hosted by Heyu

To create something good, WHY and HOW you create are as important as WHAT you create.

to the creator

WHAT: Document the journey of creation and investment in creation. It focuses on technology products and business from an anthropological perspective.

WHY: A good creation is often yield from a collection of good decisions of “WHY” and “HOW” when approaching complexities in the emergence over time.

HOW: Constructing the context of humanity in the technology development helps understand nuances, craft essentials, and iterate in the journey, which sets the foundation for long-term value creation.

NOW: Three waves at the intersection of design and venture are all happening together with technology innovation:

  • The First: create better user experiences that provide access to alternatives

  • The Second: create new operating models that shift incentive power dynamics

  • The Third: create bottom-up ownership that unlocks long-term upside and optionality

Let’s create.

ONGOING thesis:

VITALITY, the power of evolution from emergence

1 — creation: Tools and platforms that empower creators

Being a participant in the innovation economy means that everyone is a change agent. Platforms and tools are lowering the barrier to access knowledge and resources, collaborate and share creations. Creators are becoming more empowered to meet and learn from other members of the community, which build new structures and mechanisms at scale.

2 — health: Holistic wellness as an emerging lifestyle

Health and joy are integral to staying creative, productive, and collaborative. Holistic wellness is a new approach to a meaningful life that connects physical, mental, and emotional health through our relationship with ourselves, others, and our physical environment, which becomes an increasing priority when a new stack of creation starts to form.

3 — Space: Sustainable loops for living cities

Two trends are likely to define the 21st century: threats to the natural environment's sustainability and dramatic increases in urbanization. When thoughtfully designed, cities can enhance citizens' and society's well-being by shifting narratives and creating new loops that focus away from abundance and scarcity to regeneration.

4 — Trust: Authentic value, identity, and community

Our social and economic systems are more connected, as well as more alienated and lonely. We look for authentic connections with ourselves and trusted communities so that we can belong. The journey to authenticity and empathy is a life-long process, and our education can be lacking in arming us with the skills to communicate and participate in our differences.
